WE BELIEVE the Bible to be inspired (God-breathed). It is the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Galatians 1:11-12)
WE BELIEVE there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Who are of one essence, equal in power and glory (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; John 1:1, 10:30). He is the Creator (Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 40:28, 44:24), Redeemer and Sovereign Ruler of the universe. He is perfectly holy, just and loving (Isaiah 6:1-4; Numbers 14:18; Psalms 89:14; Ephesians 2:1-8), while reserving judgment on the unredeemed (Romans 2:5).
WE BELIEVE in the deity of Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3, 10:30-33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:34-35). His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26,); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His bodily resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4-7), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal, premillennial return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16).
WE BELIEVE in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation, because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; that all are justified by God’s grace through faith alone, in the shed blood of Jesus Christ unto salvation (John 3:16-19, 5:24; Romans 3:23-24, 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5)
WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life (Romans 8:13-16; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20; Ephesians 5:18). The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convince men of the reality of sin, righteousness and judgment (John 16:8-11). The Holy Spirit never bears witness of Himself, but always points to Christ (John 16:13-15).
WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto resurrection of life, and they that are not unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).
WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Galatians 3:26-28).
Simply Teaching the Bible Simply
Rick resisted this call for two years, but with the persistent conviction of the Holy Spirit, he, with this small group of courageous people, started the work. We officially moved to Sunday mornings on March 16, 2008.
Our ministry is in affiliation with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, California, which began in the late 1960’s as a small nondenominational church of 25 members, pastored by Chuck Smith. Calvary Chapel is not a denomination, but it is a fellowship of churches. Each Calvary Chapel is governed by its own leadership, and financed by the contributions of its members. Our connection with each other is for the purpose of fellowship, encouragement, and accountability.
In our short time of existence, we have experienced many high and low points and soon realized that the ministry’s success would be based on God building the church and each person being faithful to their calling. With the knowledge that God’s call is irrevocable, we have pressed on and have enjoyed seeing how God can truly change the lives of people. He is a great God, worthy to be served. When God calls, He provides, and we are watching Him do just that. It is an exciting journey and we would invite anyone, drawn by the Holy Spirit to a Bible-centered ministry, to join us.
